Brussels Pictures

I'm having a hectic life these days. Starting from last week, dance practice is on again, my kids will be performing "Endang" and "Joget" on the first day of November. It will be an entertainment during Malaysia Truly Asian Kitchen (click for more infos about it). I had been out almost everyday and now it's time to clean the house. Still I can't rest. *sigh.. but that's life huh..

Well, I don't plan to babble too much, I just want to share some photos taken during my short trip to Brussels. We didn't visit many places, as we went there to say good bye to a friend who was going to go back to Malaysia for good.

26 years ago, I was born. That's the greatest gift from Lord. Life. I'm so grateful for that, for all things He gives me indeed. I came from a family which never celebrate birthdays. We would wish each other if we remembered but not every year for sure. And I don't remember birthdays. I even missed my mom's birthday. Every year! The only birthdays I remember are mine and my husband's. I know my friend's birth-dates but I would have forgotten if no one reminds me before hand. I'd always have friends who always remember my birthdays. I always got many presents in school, yeah, they were only cheap pieces but still I feel blessed and thankful. I was excited at that time getting so much presents and I always look forward for my next birthday but now it's not what I'm waiting for, not the birthday gifts (but I would take if u give me one. Especially from my husband. LOL).

A wish that comes from deep of the heart is enough for me. People wish, but sometimes they don't mean that. I mean, they don't really 'feel' what they are wishing.

So now, on my blissful day, I wish all my dear friends a happy-smooth-sailing life, may no worries bother you and God bless.

A Short One

No, it's not about Brussels yet. I haven't updated my other blog for a month so I to put something in it today. It's quite an interesting topic. Check it out if u have time. Yup, I'm promoting it. LOL. If I'm not the one who promoting it, who else would?

About A Friend

I want to share something about Brussels today, in fact I already drafted it but there's another thing I think I should write about.

Two days ago, I had a dream. It's about a new friend of mine. I met her last July. She's an old friend of my husband actually. His ex-course-mate that is. But we've been friend the second we met. Then, last Aidilfitri, I've got a shocking news. Something bad happened to her. I didn't know how bad it was but the news itself was bad enough. I keep thinking about her, I went to her blog every now and then but no update. I mean, about her condition. I kept on thinking and waiting, till I had this dream. I called her in the dream, to know how she was doing. She was in front of me but I called her cell instead (that's the funny part). And she answered it! She said her state was very bad. She was about to tell me more and suddenly she had burst into tears. She couldn't talked because she was sobbing and shedding her teardrops at the same time. It explained me how bad she was.

Just now, I went to her blog again, and it was updated! I can't describe how relief I am now. She's regaining her health back, although not recovered yet. This thing takes time, a-many-months time. It took me a year++ to fully recover. Yup, I was there, in her shoes, that's why I know. It wasn't the same thing happened to me but it was similar. I had what they called as 'incomplete abortion'. But it's not me I wanted to write about so let's get it over with.

I just wanted her to be strong, patient, it's not the medicines who makes you recover but something in you. Medicines only help, but it's you yourself makes your body regain your health back (with God's will, insya-Allah). We'll pray for you from afar. God gives us rain but there are rainbow and sunshine after it. Remember, you are the chosen one.

London

As promised, this is a short report on our short London trip. We traveled from Den Haag by bus. And we used hop-on hop-off service, and the first day we were really hopping on and off the buses. I was having a terrible fever at that time, I sneezed, coughed and my leg was aching. However, none of that had stopped me from exploring London. Hop-on Hop-off is very practical and time-saving for people on short trip like us. The service that we used has 4 different routes that brought us to tourist spots all over London City. One day travel ticket had cost us £23 per person. We were able to stopover almost all interesting places such as Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park, Harrods, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, London Eye (just to name a few) and we did had an ample time promenading through the famous Oxford Street, but someway I regretted that we didn't have enough time to visit Malaysian Hall and Royal Albert Hall. There were so many statues and monuments, as well as STARBUCKS! OMG! starbucks is everywhere!

Although London is obviously an english speaking place, nonetheless I felt it is not a place for me. Or perhaps my expectation was too high. I don't want to dwell too much about it, only people who had been there knows what I mean. All in all, London is a great place to visit still. Enjoy the photos!

What Has Been Happening

Hello there!
Yup, I've been busy and time didn't permit me to update my blog. Sounds cliché? LOL! But no sweat, I didn't have time to sit still in front of the computer, like I always do. Starting from Raya, a trip to London, had been sick, a friend's visit, attending a few open-houses (and will be attending a few more these coming weekends but sorry, I'm not hosting because I'm too tired for all that maybe this coming Aidil Adha, Insya-Allah) and finally a trip to Brussels (I didn't mention about this plan beforehand to you guys right?)

And now my visitor has gone, my husband already sent him to the airport. It's always a pleasure having peeps visiting. Oh, I don't want to write a long entry about it because it's time for pictures so let's get this over with.

RAYA
It was my 5th (in a row) Aidilfitri abroad. We were so busy on the first day of Hari Raya, woke up early in the morning to fry curry-puffs and to prepare bihun goreng (fried rice noodles). We hadn't have our own special meals such as rendang, nasi impit or whatsoever because we rushed off our feet to the embassy soon after. If not mistaken, my husband only had a piece of the curry-puff and a mug of drink. And he made it himself. Pity him. There wasn't 'salam-maaf-suami-isteri-dipagi-raya' either! Can you believe that? We couldn't eat peacefully at the reception as well because there were huge crowds of Malaysian and we were busy mingling around entertaining them. And extra work for me (and the ladies), I had to check chafing dishes every now and then, as well as refilling those almost-empty chafing dishes. That's also the reason why I wasn't able to take many pictures :-(

Sorry, no picture of finger-licking-good foods! I managed to snap these pictures only after all of the guests had left.

Entry on LONDON & BRUSSELS will be posted soon!

Welcoming My Shout box from Freeshoutbox

After a long thoughtful consideration, I made up my mind, I want to have my shoutbox again. I have had something like this before but I've lost all of the comments when I first changed the layout (no backup, silly me!). I was frustrated that I decided not to have shoutbox no more. But I after having a very-long-second thought, this blog wasn't that interactive without it..so here it is!

Well..I've blog-hopped, visited and read most of my links, now I don't have time to update my own blog! I've been sick these few days..so all the raya thingy will be put on hold. Will be having a guest staying over with us. So I bet I might be busy. There're loads of photos to share. I'm gonna stop right here, but will be coming every now and then, to check comments in my new shout box..so friends and readers..doesn't matter who you are, where your from, drop me some love and let me know you're here!

Regards,
