Yeah I know, I've made a few people waiting and maybe they are somewhat pissed of by now, that's why I didn't see them blog-hopping here. Hehehe..After friends staying over, it's time for me to clean the house and I've been spending my time scrubbing my kitchen, oven, utensils...that's a lot of work and take my time okay... plus, I've got piles of laundry to wash (one of my new year resolutions is 'no more piles of cleaned-unfolded clothes'. Okay, enough justifying. LOL. Hope you'll buy it.. LOL.
Some of my friends here already know that one of the friends visited my was Mekda (and her husband). Since our mutual friends is quite a number in blogsphere, thus, I think it is practical to share the photos during her stay.
Since the couple arrived late in the evening and it was on the Christmas eve, the only remaining place opened was Red Light District. Google yourself for more infos about what Red Light District is all about.
The next day, after light breakfast we went to Brussels, the capital of Belgium. But we decided to deviate from the original route and detoured to Kinderdijk. Kinderdijk (literally translated as Child's Dyke) is a village where there're 19 windmills was built to drain a polder over there and it is one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Then, after a few pictures taken, off we went to Brussels!
We went to luxury street in Brussels. Boulevard De Waterloo that is (Oh no! I didn't snap any picture there!! Oh yes, that means I have to go there again..hmmm...next summer maybe?? during SUMMER SALES..blink blink blink). The street that usually so thronged was desolated that day, because it was Christmas Day. All shops were closed and we only had our window shopping..yep, we only see mouthwatering handbags, shoes, accessories through windows. LOL. We also grabbed this opportunity to visit World War Memorial located at Avenue Louis, not far from there. Just a walking distance.
After that we went to Atomium, another tourist spot in Brussels. Mekda and Yazed bought a souvenir there. As for us that was our second time visiting Atomium and we have yet bought any souvenir there. Nothing to rush, many times to come in future!

Then we brought our honored guest to the heart of Brussels. No where else but "Grand Place". It is the central market square of the city. We were amazed as the place was full of crowds on the christmas evening. We thought it would be as desolated as the Avenue Louise! You can find lotsa lotsa lotsa souvenirs there with cheap price. It is also a historical place and has it own story.
A few-minutes-walk away from Grand Place, situated another tourist attraction, the Manneken Pis. Stuffed yourselves about Manneken Pis by googling about its infos.

After all that we felt tired and starved! We went to a friend's house not far from the city center to have dinner and it had been the place for us to spend the night at.
I think that's enough for today. I think I should call it a day now, my husband is already home. Sorry for delayed story. Peace!!
